This is an unpeated malt from Michel Couvreur, bottled in March 2025 at 53.3% in a 70cl bottle. The spirit was distilled in Scotland and matured in the rock cellars of Burgundy, so it cannot legally be called Scotch whisky. It was aged in Pedro Ximénez, Manzanilla and Amontillado sherry casks, and without peat smoke the sherry character sits at the front. Only 672 bottles were filled. On the nose there are juicy raisins, plum compote and blood orange, with walnuts in toffee, cherry and a touch of lovage.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
