Michter's 10 Year Rye

Michter's 10 Year Rye is a Kentucky rye whiskey that has matured for at least ten years in new, heavily charred American oak casks. Each bottle comes from a single barrel, so subtle differences show from one to the next. The influence of the wood is clear, alongside a balance of sweet and spicy tones. On the nose are toasted spices, cinnamon, oak and a hint of caramel, with tobacco and nutmeg emerging slowly. The palate is full and powerful, with dark caramel, spice, toasted oak and a touch of pepper. The finish is long and warm, with vanilla and dried fruit lingering.
