Michter's Bourbon Toasted Barrel Finish 2024 (45.7%)

Michter's Toasted Barrel Finish is a limited release Kentucky bourbon, first introduced in 2014 and bottled here at 45.7% ABV (91.4 proof). It starts as Michter's Kentucky Straight Bourbon aged in new, charred American oak. It is then moved to a second barrel made from wood air-dried for 18 months, which is toasted rather than charred. The nose suggests a warm campfire with a little cinnamon. Pecans and candied fruit show on the palate, followed by a long finish of baked pears, vanilla and marshmallow.
