Michter's Small Batch Bourbon is a Kentucky bourbon bottled at 45.7% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. Following the usual bourbon tradition, the mash is mostly corn, and the whiskey is matured in new, charred oak barrels for up to 8 years.
Each batch is made up of no more than two dozen barrels, which is what the Small Batch name refers to.
Michter's traces its roots to John Shenk's Pennsylvania distillery of 1753. The whiskey is now made in Louisville, Kentucky, and the US * 1 mark on the label recalls that history.
