Midleton Barry Crockett Legacy is a single pot still Irish whiskey in a 750ml bottle, named after Barry Crockett, the second-generation Master Distiller at Midleton. It was the first time since John Jameson that an Irish Distillers product took a Master Distiller's name.
The pot still whiskeys in it were matured only in American bourbon barrels, with a small contribution from pot still distillate matured in an unseasoned American barrel. It is bottled at 46% ABV.
The nose is usually described as vanilla and toasted oak with lime, green berries and pears. On the palate, light pepper gives way to citrus and mandarin sweetness, and the finish fades to a clean American oak base.
