This is a Single Pot Still Irish whiskey from the Midleton Very Rare Dair Ghaelach collection, bottled at 56.9% ABV. Every release in the range is matured in barrels made from virgin Irish oak.
For Tree No. 2, six Irish oak trees were chosen from the grounds of Kilranelagh Estate by the Midleton Very Rare team and a forestry specialist, and turned into casks. These were filled with Single Pot Still whiskeys between fifteen and twenty-eight years old, which had previously matured in American oak barrels.
