Milk & Honey – 2018 (Berry Bros. & Rudd) (64.2%)

This is a single cask whisky from the Milk & Honey Distillery in Israel, bottled independently by Berry Bros. & Rudd. It was distilled in 2018 and matured for four years in a single STR (shaved, toasted and re-charred) cask, then bottled in 2022 at a cask strength of 64.2% ABV. The cask held a 50/50 mix of peated and unpeated spirit. It is bottled without chill filtration or added colour. The nose offers sweet fruit, quince, honey, tobacco leaf, coffee and gentle spice. On the palate come brandy snaps, apricot, ginger, chocolate and black cherry, with touches of mulberry jam and whipped cream. The finish is long and warming, with honeyed sweetness.
