M&H Terroir Sea of Galilee is a cask-strength Israeli single malt from Milk & Honey, the Tel Aviv distillery founded in 2014. It is bottled at around 56.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The spirit is double-distilled from 100% malted barley, filled into grape-based marc casks and matured 154 metres below sea level, where temperatures range from 11°C to 38°C.
The nose has banana, dates, roasted nuts and fresh ginger, with a grapey note from the marc casks. The palate brings marmalade, date syrup, baking spice and dried fig. The finish is long, with spice, honey, black tea and toasted oak.
