Millstone 12 Year Old Sherry Cask is a Dutch single malt from Zuidam Distillers in the Netherlands. It has been matured for twelve years in Oloroso sherry casks and is bottled at 46% ABV.
The nose has a pronounced sherry character, with dark fruit, raisins, plums and cherries, followed by chocolate, caramel, orange peel and warm spice. The palate is full and richly textured, with dried fruit, dark chocolate, caramel and bitter orange alongside cinnamon, pepper and mature oak.
The finish is long and warming, with lingering sherry, dried fruit, dark chocolate, spice and oak.
