Millstone 7 Year Old Vintage 2019 Banyuls Cask Special #39 Single Cask

A seven-year-old single cask Dutch malt from the Zuidam distillery, bottled at cask strength as Millstone Special #39. The barley is milled in the traditional windmill way, fermented for seven days and distilled twice in small copper stills. The whisky spent its seven years in Banyuls casks, French sweet wine casks from the Roussillon region. It is non-chill-filtered, with a natural terracotta colour, and the edition runs to 1,053 bottles, each in a black cylindrical box with gold windmill details. Citrus opens the nose. The palate brings ripe berries, orange and fine honey sweetness, and the long finish carries leather and dark chocolate.
