Millstone Founder's Reserve is a ten-year-old Dutch rye whisky made by Zuidam Distillers. It was aged in American oak and bottled at cask strength.
The nose is aromatic, with rye spice, caraway and cinnamon, joined by ripe fruit, vanilla, earthy grain and subtle herbal notes. The palate is full and oily, with vanilla, ripe banana and other fruit alongside peppery rye, cinnamon, honeyed sweetness and warming spice.
The finish is long and warming, with lingering rye spice, cinnamon, sweet oak, dark chocolate and gently herbal notes.
