Millstone Peated American Oak 5 Years Old 2019 (70cl, 43%)

Millstone Peated American Oak is a five-year-old Dutch single malt, made from malted barley peated to 50 ppm. It was distilled in 2019 and matured in both new and refill American oak casks, then bottled in 2024 at 43% in natural colour and without chill-filtering. It comes in a 70cl bottle, packed in a tube. Zuidam Distillers makes and bottles it at the family distillery in Baarle-Nassau. The nose is peat smoke, citrus and vanilla, and ripe orange meets a pronounced smoky note on the palate. The finish is long, clearly smoky and fruity.
