Millstone Peated PX Single Cask Canadian Release 3 is a Dutch single malt from Zuidam Distillers, made from peated malt and bottled at cask strength, 53.94% ABV, from a single Pedro Ximénez cask. It is offered in a 70cl bottle.
Smoke from the peat sits alongside the concentrated sweetness of Pedro Ximénez maturation, with dark fruit, malt, spice and oak behind it.
The nose opens with peat smoke and toasted malt, then raisins, dried fruit and dark caramel. The palate is full and powerful, with smoky malt, dried fruit, dark chocolate-like sweetness and warming spice. The finish is long, warming and smoky.
