This is a peated Dutch single malt from Zuidam Distillers, released as a single cask for Canada. It matured in a Pedro Ximénez sherry cask and was bottled at 53.93% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
Peat smoke leads the nose, followed by dried figs, raisins, dark caramel and cocoa, with toasted oak and warming spice. The palate is full-bodied and richly textured, with smoked malt, dark chocolate, dried fruit, molasses and clove alongside earthy peat and sweet PX richness. The finish is long and warming, with lingering smoke, dark-fruit sweetness, oak and spice.
