Millstone Smuggler's Trail Mellow Rye (70cl, 43%)

Millstone Smuggler's Trail Mellow Rye is a Dutch rye whisky made by Zuidam Distillers, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in carefully selected casks and aims to show that rye whisky can be soft and approachable while keeping depth of flavour. The nose is warm, with vanilla, caramel and light spice, plus hints of dried fruit and oak. The palate is smooth and round, with honey, caramel and gentle rye spice. The finish is medium in length and warm, with lingering spice.
