Millstone Special #36 is a 7 year old Dutch single malt from Zuidam Distillers, distilled in 2018 and bottled in 2025 at 46% ABV. It is a limited release of 687 bottles.
The whisky matured for seven years in rare Pajarete wine casks. Their sweet, vinous influence sits with rich malt, dried fruit, caramel, nuts, warm spice and oak.
The nose offers sultanas, orange, leather and nuts. The palate is sweet and rounded, with caramel, walnuts and candied fruit, then clove and gently bitter herbal notes. The finish is lingering and bittersweet, with caramelised sugar, dried fruit and seasoned oak.
