Monkey Shoulder is a blended malt Scotch whisky from Speyside, in a one-litre bottle at 40% ABV. It is a blend of single malts, including whisky from Glenfiddich, Balvenie and Kininvie, matured in ex-bourbon casks. The name is a nod to the maltmen who once turned barley by hand.
The palate is rich and creamy, with vanilla, honey, butterscotch, toasted oak and soft spice, along with hints of orange zest, malted barley and dried fruit. The finish is smooth and warming, with lingering sweetness and gentle oak spice.
