Morin 10 ans is a Calvados from Normandy, France, made from apples taken from the region's oldest trees and aged for ten years in French oak.
The long time in wood brings fresh fruit together with spice, vanilla and toasted oak. The nose gives cooked apple and cinnamon, with a hint of caramel and nutmeg. The palate is rich and velvety, balancing the sweetness of ripe fruit against the natural acidity of the apple.
It can be served at room temperature as a digestif or alongside an apple-based dessert, and it also works in cocktails without overpowering the other ingredients.
