Morin Calvados (70cl)

This is a Calvados from Normandy, made by the house of Morin, which was founded in 1889. It is distilled from apples using traditional methods and then rested in oak barrels, which add vanilla and woody tones alongside the fresh fruit. In the glass it is a bright golden amber. The nose shows baked apple with cinnamon and caramel over a light toasted note from the wood. The palate opens soft and harmonious, with a medium-to-full body of ripe apple and sweet spice, and the finish is long and gently spiced. It can be served neat, lightly chilled, or used in cocktails.
