First fill Pedro Ximenez hogshead finish
This is a ten year old Mortlach from Speyside, distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2025 by Signatory Vintage as release 15 in its Small Batch series. It is bottled at 48.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle, without colouring or chill filtration. The whisky finished its maturation in first fill Pedro Ximenez sherry hogsheads, which gave it a deep golden colour. The nose offers syrupy flapjack, sultana sponge, a dusting of cocoa and a hint of aged leather. On the palate, biscuity malt and oily oak sit beneath vanilla fudge, boozy raisins and gentle warming spice. The finish brings poached apples, stone fruits, nutty maple, spiced toffee and charred oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
