Mortlach 34 Year Old is a single cask Speyside malt, cask #368, bottled by Murray McDavid under its Aficionado label. It was distilled in 1989 and spent over three decades in a bourbon hogshead.
A 21-month finish followed in two first-fill PX sherry octaves. It was bottled in 2025 at 40.1%, with 179 bottles in the release.
Barley sugar and beeswax come through on the nose, with creamy fudge, dried apricot and fruity oak on the palate. The finish is sweet and malty.
