Mortlach 12 Year Old The Wee Witchie is a Speyside single malt from the distillery on the edge of Dufftown, bottled at 43.4% in a 70cl bottle. It combines whiskies matured in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks.
Mortlach was founded in 1823 and uses a partial triple distillation, together with clear wort and minimal copper contact, to give a heavy, meaty spirit.
The flavours are described as dried candied fruits, vanilla cream and a touch of cinnamon, with a long, warming finish.
