Mortlach – 14 Year Old 2010 First Editions

This is a 14 year old Mortlach from the First Editions range, a Speyside single malt matured in a single Canasta Cream sherry butt. It was bottled without chill-filtering. Mortlach is known as the 'Beast of Dufftown' for its meaty, full-bodied spirit, and the wine cask gives that character a fruit-led twist. The whisky shows layers of fruit and spice, with a gentle savoury note beneath.
