This is a 15 year old Mortlach from Speyside, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Distillery Label series at 43%. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matured in a mix of refill and fresh sherry casks.
The nose combines sweet malt, grapefruit, lemon, orange peel and sherry. The palate is mild and balanced, with fruit, honey, sherry, raisins and dark chocolate. The finish is long and warming, with orange, vanilla and chocolate.
