Mortlach 16 Year Old Distiller's Dram is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, in a 750ml bottle. It was inspired by the first 16-year-old Mortlach, released in 1992.
The whisky was matured only in Sherry casks, which add rich, fruity and fragrant notes to the robust character of the distillery. It is deep amber in colour, with a full, palate-coating body.
The nose is bold and complex, with stewed black orchard fruits, earthiness and spice. On the palate there is leathery spice with apricot and honey, both sweet and savoury. The finish is long, with a surprising sweetness.
