This is a cask strength Mortlach single malt without an age statement, bottled at 57.8% in a 70cl bottle. It forms part of the Diageo Special Releases 2022, whose theme is 'Psychedelic Legends Untold', and carries the name 'The Lure of the Blood Moon'.
The whisky was finished in Tawny Port, Red Muscat and virgin oak casks.
It is described as a rich expression of Mortlach's dark, meaty character, bringing sweetness, darkness and depth together.
