Become is a Speyside single malt from Mortlach, created in collaboration with the designer Philippe Starck for the L'Evolution Collection. It evolved from the sweet, rich Begin and is bottled at 55.4% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured in a combination of virgin oak, red wine and refill casks, which bring sweetness, spice and a peppery punch. The palate is smooth in texture, and a drop of water softens it.
The nose is a sticky fruit loaf with sultanas and dates, over a dry, heavy note. The finish is long, peppery and punchy.
