Mossburn Signature Cask Speyside Blended Malt Whisky No. 2

A Speyside blended malt, and one of the two first releases in the Mossburn Signature Casks Series. The series is a run of blended malts that explore the regional differences between Scotch whiskies, each made in specially prepared casks to bring out the flavours of its region. For this second bottling the whisky was finished in casks made with first-fill Oloroso sherry butt staves and heavily charred American oak. The nose is floral vanilla, dried cherries, orange oil and a touch of pineapple. The palate has buttery malt and toasted teacake with a hint of chocolate cookie dough, and the finish shows light hoppy bitterness followed by oat biscuits.
