Munray Superior Quality Rare Old Scotch 1960s

This is a Munray Superior Quality Rare Old Scotch, a single malt from the 1960s. The nose opens with nuts, raspberry spirit, and chocolate with almond chips, alongside a curious fuel-like note. With time it brings leather, cold asphalt, cherries, blueberries, a touch of sherry, anise and overripe lemon, growing darker and spicier. The palate starts soft and herbal, with leather, fermented berries, plum wine and a woody bitterness, then brown sugar, rust dust, damp tobacco and a hint of saltiness. The finish is short to medium, spicy and oily-sweet.
