A 31 year old blended malt Scotch from Murray McDavid, bottled at 47.5% in a 70cl bottle. It is named after the Fiddichside Inn, the bar started by the late Joe Brandie, and the name is said to hint at where the whisky comes from.
Two malts from different distilleries were married, one of them reported to be Balvenie, which makes it a blended malt rather than a single. Murray McDavid finished the pair in two first-fill sherry casks: six months in Pedro Ximenez and two years in Oloroso.
Baked apple, waxy fruits, creamy vanilla and sweet oak are the flavours described.
