Nc'nean – Organic Single Malt Cask Strength Batch CS/GD06

This is a cask strength organic single malt from Nc'nean, a distillery on Scotland's west coast that makes its whisky from 100 per cent organic barley and runs entirely on renewable energy. Batch CS/GD06 is from December 2019. It matured in a combination of casks: 55 per cent STR red wine, 43 per cent American whiskey barrels and the remainder in Oloroso sherry casks. The batch was filled to 4,998 bottles. The nose combines floral and robust herbs with citrus, peaches and ripe apricots, with sandalwood and a little nutmeg. On the palate there is creamy salted caramel, rye bread and ground pepper, with juicy peach and citrus. The finish is long, with apple, peach and apricot.
