Neisson L'Empyreumatique Itineraires Rhum Agricole Martinique AOC (70cl, 50.8%)

A rhum agricole from Martinique, made by Neisson and bottled at 50.8% vol in a 700 ml bottle. Neisson was founded in 1932 by brothers Adrien and Hildebert-Pamphile and remains family-run. The family is the only farm on Martinique with its own sugar cane fields. Rhum agricole is made from fresh sugar cane juice, with no added sugar or artificial colouring, and the cane must be processed within 24 hours of harvest. Ageing takes place on Martinique, making it a tropically aged rhum. The sugar cane grows on north Caribbean terroir with volcanic pumice soils.
