A rhum agricole from Martinique, aged for 12 to 24 months in 650-litre casks and distilled to 107 degrees. It is an Elevé-Sous-Bois expression from the family-owned Neisson distillery.
The distillery was founded in 1932 by brothers Adrien and Hildebert-Pamphile Neisson. Neisson is the only farm on Martinique with its own sugar cane fields, and ageing takes place on the island.
The nose suggests roasted coffee, roasted cocoa, compote, spices, green and black pepper and exotic notes.
