Nelson Brothers Sherry Cask Finished Bourbon is a high-proof straight bourbon from Nelson's Green Brier Distillery in Nashville, Tennessee, bottled at 50% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is a limited release in the distillery's Cask Finish Series.
The bourbon is aged in new American oak, then finished in Oloroso sherry casks, which add dried fruit, almond and fig to a bold, spiced high-rye base.
The nose shows black cherry, almond, dried fig and vanilla bean. The palate has banana bread, crème brûlée, rye spice, citrus and toasted caramel. The finish is long and warming, with molasses, dried fruit and sweet baking spice.
