New Louisville Whiskey Co – 8 Year Old Cask Strength Single Barrel #W81 'Return of Villezilla' Straight Bourbon (75cl, 64.6%)

An 8 year old single barrel wheated straight bourbon from New Louisville Whiskey Co, the sister company of Nulu. It is a limited edition, barrel #W81, named Return of Villezilla, bottled at a cask strength of 64.6% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The barrel was heat-cycled, and part of its maturation took place in PCS Distilling's warehouse, where the temperature variation raised the proof and viscosity. It belongs to a group of high-strength bourbons described as having a huge amount of flavour despite their ABV. The nose is burnt sugar, toffee and toasted spice, and the palate is intense but balanced.
