A 33 year old single malt from the former Willowbank distillery in Dunedin, New Zealand. It was distilled in 1988, matured in an ex-bourbon cask and bottled in 2021 at a cask strength of 58.8%, in a 50cl bottle.
This is a single cask bottling, Conquete #62, with an outturn of 224 bottles. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose is fresh and lively, with blossom honey, cloves and salted cashews, then candied lemon, vanilla and sage sweets. On the palate there are oranges, fruit cake and ginger, along with honey, mint and strawberry jam. The finish is long, with liquorice and honey.
