Nikka Black Clear (70cl, 37%)

Nikka Black Clear is a Japanese whisky from Nikka, bottled at 37% in a 70cl bottle. Nikka was founded in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru, a former Suntory employee who studied at the University of Glasgow and trained as a blender in Campbeltown. He opened the Yoichi distillery in the year the company was established, and the Nishinomiya and Miyagikyo distilleries followed in 1959 and 1969. The company has also had a stake in Scotch whisky since 1989, when it bought the Ben Nevis distillery.
