Nikka From The Barrel (50cl, 51.4%)

Nikka From The Barrel is a Japanese blended whisky, combining single malt and grain whiskies from the Miyagikyo and Yoichi distilleries. The whiskies are married together and matured further before bottling at 51.4%, in a 50cl bottle. The nose combines dried fruit, orange peel and spice with toffee, incense and toasted oak. On the palate, peppery spice comes first, followed by caramel, dark chocolate and roasted nuts, with a full, warming mouthfeel. The finish is long and slightly smoky, with sweetness fading into dry spice and oak.
