Nikka – Super Rare Old

Nikka Super Rare Old is a Japanese blended whisky from Nikka, first introduced in 1962. It was created by Masataka Taketsuru, the founder of Nikka, and it keeps its original retro bottle design. The style is fruity and malty, with a gentle smokiness and some spice. Sweet fruit, vanilla and caramel sit alongside malt, with a delicate smoky character running through. On the nose there is ripe fruit, vanilla and caramel, with malt, gentle spice and subtle smoke. The palate is rounded, and the finish is smooth and warming, with malt, spice and oak lingering.
