Nikka – Tailored (43%)

Nikka Tailored is a Japanese blended whisky at 43% ABV. It combines malted barley whisky from the Miyagikyo and Yoichi distilleries with Coffey still grain whisky, giving a balance of sweet and bitter notes. It is suggested as a pairing for dark chocolate. The nose offers fresh stone fruit, nectarine and dried apricot, with waxy peel, citrus and a hint of cocoa. The palate is sweet and buttery, with pancakes, orange marmalade and bitter dark chocolate. The finish is long, with roasted coffee beans, fresh apple and vanilla pod.
