A 17 year old pure malt from Nikka, blended from single malts of the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries. It was created in honour of Nikka's founder, who died in 1979, and is bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The component malts matured for 17 years in a variety of sherry casks, and the blend is made only from single malt casks. It comes in a wooden box. The nose is fresh and fruity, with peaches and plums. The palate is spicy, fruity and creamy, with dark cherries, creamy vanilla, chocolate and spice. The finish carries charred oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
