Nikka Whisky From The Barrel is a Japanese blend of single malt and grain whiskies from the Miyagikyo and Yoichi distilleries, bottled at 51.4% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
The components are married in a wide variety of casks, including bourbon barrels, sherry butts and refill hogsheads.
The nose is medium-bodied and balanced, with cut flowers, fresh fruit, spice and a little oak. The palate is full and punchy, with winter spice, toffee, caramel, vanilla and plenty of fruit. The finish is long, warming and fruity, with a touch of oaky spice.
