Nikka – Whisky From The Barrel (50cl, 51.4%)

A Japanese blended whisky from Nikka, bottled at 51.4% ABV in a 50cl bottle. Matured malt and grain whiskies are blended and then returned to cask, which brings together distinctly different whiskies in one rich whole. The nose is spicy and peppery with spicy oak, soft orange fruit and gentle vanilla from the bourbon cask. On the palate come grainy sweetness, candied orange peel, cinnamon and clove. The finish is firm and powerful with a peppery spice, evolving into ripe peaches and caramelised apples.
