This is a Japanese single malt from the Yoichi Distillery, made only with unpeated malts. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 47% ABV and was released in the second half of 2021 as part of the Nikka Discovery series.
The nose is balanced, with malted barley, fruit and acacia honey, moving on to spicy, herbaceous notes and a touch of medicinal character. Citrus leads on the palate, followed by vanilla and a roasted note, with a mouth-watering bitterness. The finish is long, with aniseed, creamy flavours, nuts and juicy fruit, and the empty glass is malty and spicy.
