Nikka Yoichi Single Malt (45%)

Nikka Yoichi Single Malt is a Japanese single malt from the Yoichi distillery on Hokkaido, bottled at 45%. The distillery uses coal-fired stills, and the whisky is matured in carefully selected sherry casks. Smoke and maritime notes sit together in its character. The nose is incense, plum, white chocolate and sea breeze. On the palate there are citrus, a salty edge, earthy tones, malt, honey and grapefruit, balanced by refined smoke. The finish is long and delicate, lightly smoky and salty, with a soft feel.
