Yoichi Single Malt comes from Nikka's Yoichi Distillery in Hokkaido, the first distillery the company built, in 1934. Founder Masataka Taketsuru chose the town of Yoichi for its similarity to the conditions in Scotland, where he learned whisky-making. Yoichi malts are described as bold and strong, with refined peaty notes and smokiness from traditional direct coal-fired distillation. Sea air from Ishikari Bay brings a briny hint during maturation. This bottle is 45% ABV and comes in 70cl.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
