North Star 11 Year Old Clynelish is a single cask Highland single malt, bottled independently by North Star Spirits at a cask strength of 53.6% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whisky has matured for 11 years and is non-chill-filtered, with no added colouring.
Clynelish is known for a waxy, textured spirit, and here that shows in an oily, mouth-coating palate.
The nose is spicy peach jam with a freshly baked croissant. On the palate come creamy honeydew melon, beeswax and sweet malted cereal. The finish is long, with caramelised lemon, toffee apple and a little Highland spice.
