A six-year-old Scotch blended malt from North Star Spirits, Highland Connection Batch 1 combines Highland Park distilled in 2004 with Ardnamurchan distilled in 2019. The age follows the younger component. It marries a peated Ardnamurchan butt with a Highland Park refill hogshead, and was bottled in 2025 at 50% in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and no chill-filtering.
The nose has smoked rhubarb over a west Scottish campfire, with red raisins. The palate is peppery and sherried, with caramelised orange, cedar and cherry. The finish is dry and silky, with marzipan, dark coffee and a light, creamy eucalyptus note.
