This twelve-year-old Bunnahabhain is an Islay single malt, distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2026 at 57.1% from a sherry hogshead. It belongs to the High Proof series, a collaboration between independent bottler North Star Spirits and Sansibar Whisky. It is of natural colour and non-chill-filtered, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose combines warm sherry sweetness, dark fruit and elegant spice over a creamy, maritime base. The palate is powerful and full, with intense sherry fruit, a soft texture, warm sweetness and creamy depth. The finish is lasting, fruity and spicy, with a maritime note.
