This is a single cask Springbank bottled by North Star at 48.5% ABV. The whisky was distilled on 25 November 1994 and bottled in October 2020, after 25 years in a hogshead. The cask gave 270 bottles.
Springbank is one of the few family-owned distilleries in Scotland.
The nose brings green apples, heather, vanilla and citrus with a malty character, hints of toffee and some medicinal notes. On the palate there are apples and quince with gentle spice and a little lemon zest. The finish is dry and spicy from the cask, with fresh citrus, then malty sweetness ending in English liquorice.
